Each tooth consists on the average of ca. 14,000 such polygons, meaning that the entire scene contains a total of ca. 728,000 polygons which stand in relationship to each other.

In a 3-month effort Prof. van der Linden and an experienced 3D-expert assembled all of the individually scanned teeth into a unified scene. It was necessary to define the paths of movement for each individual tooth as well as their reciprocal effect on each other.
